What is Continuing Care?
As a Continuing Care Retirement Community, Freedom Village offers several levels of senior living within one community. If a person's needs change over the years, he or she is able to stay within one community. At Freedom Village, we provide Independent Living in our main building and Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing in our Health Care Center.
Independent Living is for seniors who are able to care for themselves and can manage in their own apartment. Although they are still active and independent, services like cooking and cleaning are provided for them. Nine floorplans ranging from 350 to 1300 square feet are available and all include kitchens. Support Services are available in your Independent Living apartment for an additional fee.
Assisted Living is for seniors who may be experiencing difficulty living on their own and need assistance on a regular basis. This environment is ideal for seniors who need help with personal care needs. Assisted Living studio apartments are available both furnished and unfurnished and have a private bath. Three meals a day are provided.
Skilled Nursing provides care to seniors on a 24-hour basis for either rehabilitation or full-time care. All rooms are semi-private with a shower in each room.
At Freedom Village, residents pay a one-time entrance fee and a low monthly fee for services. There is a choice of three entrance fee prices based on which rebate program is chosen (0%, 50% and 75% rebate Program.) All programs depreciate over 25 months (4% on the 0% program, 2% on the 50% program and 1% on the 75% program). rebates are available upon departure from Freedom Village.
Also included is the Standard Health Care Program, which entitles residents to a 25% discount for Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. With a signed Residence Agreement, they also receive a guarantee of long-term care for life, protecting the resident and his or her family, if assets are depleted. Prices are based on one person. A $10,000 non-refundable health care fee is added for a second person.
